Gary Lachance has been a tireless advocate of Open-Source culture and Radical Decentralization since his creation of the Decentralized Community initiative in 2008.

Then in 2009 came Tom and Gary’s Decentralized Dance Party, an Open-Source Party Ritual powered by hundreds of synchronized boomboxes that has united hundreds of thousands of people in ecstatic public celebration all over the world.

In 2011, he attempted to convince Occupy Wall Street (a Decentralized protest movement) to adopt Radical Decentralization as their mandate. And again in 2012, with the creation of The #BYPASS Movement.

In early 2014, he released Privacy Is The Enemy, a “Grand Decentralization Theory” that examines the fundamental nature of the Decentralization revolution and proposes how it could potentially give rise to a completely Free and Open society. Ethereum is specifically referenced as a fundamental component, long before it was launched or proven.

In the three years since, Gary has been crisscrossing the globe hosting Decentralized Dance Parties and championing the Radical Decentralization revolution at every opportunity. This will include helping to organize Camp Decentral at Burning Man 2017.

Gary recently launched a video blog called “Don’t Stop Believing which chronicles these adventures and will include his journey to D10e Tel Aviv, where he will be conducting interviews and likely hosting Israel’s first-ever DDP! Track him down if you’d like to chat about any of the above and/or join The Party Revolution!
