Michael is a legal and policy consultant who has helped design governance frameworks for special economic zones (SEZ) and new urban development projects in over a dozen countries.
He is the founder and executive director of Refugee Cities and the director of NeWAY Consulting. Previously, Michael served as the Managing Director of Locus Economica, a boutique SEZ consulting firm, and was a consultant with the World Bank, specializing in urban law and development issues. Michael is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy and of the New York State Bar.
